Levade
I printed this lithograph in April but I keep forgetting to post it! D'oh!
"Levade" (Lipizzaner horse) original hand-pulled stone lithograph on white Rives BFK paper edition of 13 with one artist proof (mine) 9 by 7 inches $375, unframed
It's not breed-specific, it's the name of that particular move, one of the "airs above the ground" in which the horse is to hold a position at about a 35 degree angle. It takes a very strong horse to do that. I don't know that all breeds could do it. Lipizzaners are one that can.
Sometimes I just want to write, or ramble, or rant a rave. So here's where I am going to do that. I am an artist. I show chickens. I love horses. I figure all this writing makes up for not talking much!

Is a levade a certain move by Lipazzaners?
